Your guide for this delicious journey is Jacco, one of the owners of Turistgården, who brings a wealth of passion and experience to the table. Having spent years in Michelin-starred kitchens, Jacco now runs a cozy artisanal bakery here in Särna, where he crafts the kind of treats that turn a simple coffee break into a celebration. In Sweden, fika isn’t just about the coffee—it’s a cherished moment of connection, and what better way to embrace this tradition than by baking some of the most beloved sweet buns? We’ll start with the iconic Kanelbulle (cinnamon bun), a true fika classic, and from there, we’ll introduce you to some of our personal favorites, each with its own story and irresistible flavor. Enjoy a warm start with a light lunch and coffee, then dive into preparing your dough. While it rests, you’ll make butter fillings, toffee base, vanilla cream, and syrups. After shaping and rolling the dough, you’ll let it rise while taking a fika break. Finally, it’s time to bake and enjoy the freshly made buns, finishing off with a taste of your creations.
