Leksand
The beautiful city located at the southernmost shores of Lake Siljan attracts with craftsmanship, a great midsummer celebration and ice hockey.
Around Leksand you will find a great number of the charming villages in the romantic Dala style which has become something of the international image of Sweden. Leksand is synonymous with its 94 villages built in the iconic Dala style and farms rich with great cultural and historical value. Here you will also find several family favorites like Leksand Sommarland and the annual Medieval Market. In the winter you can ski in Granberget and visit Tegera Arena to cheer for the local hockey team Leksand IF. Other places to visit are Clas Ohlson’s original store, as well as Leksand Crispbread’s bakery shop with roots from the early 1800’s.
