Näckå Kvarn is a water-driven mill from the 1830s.

Description

The water in Näckån was previously used to some water-driven plants such as sawmills, blast furnaces for myrrh iron and mills. The mill was restored in 1981. Every year a Gökotta is arranged at the mill early on a spring morning. Näckå mill is really worth a visit!

Directions

From Särna: Drive RV70 south towards Älvdalen. After about 5km comes a sign to the right where it says Sörberget. Turn in there and follow the road until there is a small sign to the left where it says Näckå Kvarn. You can drive a bit and park your car on the small road to the left.

From Älvdalen: Drive RV70 Norrut towards Särna. After about 75km comes a sign that says Sörberget to the left. Turn in there and follow the road until there is a small sign to the left where it says Näckå Kvarn. You can drive a bit and park your car on the small road to the left.
