This lovely environment brings you back in time when the making of iron ore was still up and running. Gryvelån is a nature reserve with a well preserved and beautiful nature. Here you can find forest that's over 400 years old and about 30 meters high. The reserve was founded to protect the flora and fauna, and the unique environment.
Description
Hiking Trails
One hiking trail is about one kilometer and goes around the main area. Here you can find, among other things, an old stable, one old blast furnace and wind shelters.
The two other hiking trails are three and six kilometers long. The start is at the old stable.
Directions
Follow RV70 north from Älvdalen in about 35 kilometres, turn left towards Lövnäs and then turn right at the sign "Naturreservat". Drive to the parking lot in the middle of the reserve.
