Rällingsberg Mines is a group of former iron ore mines in an area just outside Långshyttan. Mining was carried on here between 1841 and 1932, and at most there were about 100 men working in the mines.
The area consists of four mines, beautifully situated and surprisingly open in sloping arable land. All that remains today is a dynamite store, miners’ lodge, machine house, ore sorting house, and a transformer station. The area also has ruins and remains of an ore dressing plant and an extensive transport system with canals, railways and a cableway. The mine was closed in 1932.
