Silverringen - Ulfshyttan
In the powerful blast furnace in Ulfshyttan, the iron ore was transformed into pig iron, one of Sweden's most important commodities for many hundreds of years. In Ulvshyttan, a cabin was built in the 17th century and production continued, with only short interruptions, until May 1939, when the last blowing took place.
Description
Stroll around the area and take the small path up to the small house where the view is miles over forests and lakes. Next to the blast furnace, there is a rest area in summer with a table for a packed lunch.
