School Museum in Djurmo

In the middle of the small village of Djurmo, in the old village school from the 1870s, you will find the school museum. Experience the school and the teacher's home, preserved just as it was in my great-grandmother's time.

Enter the school environment of the time with old-fashioned school desks, chalkboards, the rabbit's paw that was used as an eraser, inkwell and where the pointer is placed menacingly on the desk. The school was built in 1865 and operated until 1942. The inventory has been collected from different schools in Gagnef. The teacher's apartment is furnished in accordance with the times. There is also a collection of school photographs from Gagnef's schools, the oldest from 1898.
