Lillådalens nature reserve begins in the north at Knut Erik-hill, which is the 859 m altitude on the road Mörkret-Gördalen.
Here is an observation tower that provides a magnificent view over the mountain landscape in western Särna. From here you can also see the reserve continues south along the slopes of Lillådalen and Östra Hållan. The reserve forms a link between Fulufjället National Park in the south and Drevfjällets nature reserve in the north. Vegetation marshes Avundsknölen and its extension to the north forms a large, intact wetland area framed by pine dry rakes and old-growth forest.
