Kloster Ironworks Museum

This tells you the story of the monastery, the gunpowder factory, the ironworks, and Gustaf de Laval, and about the trade association.

The building was restored in the 1980s and converted into a working museum. In order not to disturb the architecture, the designer Sven-Olof Gudmunds drew the exhibitions on glass screens after the walls. Here is told about the monastery, the powder mill, the ironworks and Gustaf de Laval as well as about the trade association. A new exhibition on Kloster´s manor park throuh the ages show at the museum. Visit the English park which is located right next to the museum.
