Alviken round - 7 km

Here you walk through a varied landscape where the trail runs close to lake Alviken. A boat trip is also included.

Start and finish place: At Siljansnäs rowing club's clubhouse or next to Storön. See link. Length: 7 km, circular loop. Lead marking: Time consumption: About 2 hours. Difficulty: Blue Environment: A hiking trail through a varied landscape with forest, meadows and alder marshes and with a rich bird and animal life. Part of the trail is rowed in a borrowed boat, one is at the boat harbor by Siljansnäs Rowing Club's club house and one is on the other side of the water on Storön. Information boards are located along the trail. Facilities: Public transport: See Dalatrafiken. Stop Leksand and Siljansnäs. Description: A trail near the water that goes on both a path and a dirt road. There are several rest areas along the road and several places where you can swim. ATTENTION! At the boat crossing, you must ensure that there is always a boat on each side. Row over and pick up the boat which is on the other shore.
