Smednäset camping is a family campground located on a promontory at Lake Svärdsjön and all sites have lake views. The campsite has been around since 1965 and currently has 170 seats with 40 seats.
There are also four cottages for rent. Three cabins have four beds, one cabin has six beds with kitchen, toilet and shower. In summer there is a nice beach with a playground, boat and bike rentals. For those guests who feel like it, there is a nice sauna by the lake.
In winter there are ski runs of approximately 1 mil away from Smednäset, there are excellent opportunities for cross country skiing, snowmobiling and even ice fishing is to exercise. Activities are numerous throughout the year including Midsummer maypole when it is rising with games for the kids and dancing to the orchestra in the evenings.
