Adventuremine - The Via Ferrata

The journey takes you down to the deepest dry parts of the mine, 80 meters underground. The tour offers several exciting moments such as climbing the mine’s Via Ferrata system and cable car over a crystal clear lake. In the Great Hall you get to experience the grandeur of the mine with torches and music.

In southern Dalarna - where evenly landscape meets the vast forests - you will find the small village of Tuna Hästberg. With a population that is almost as high as the average age - you don't see many people. The first thing you meet is the old head frame of the mine - where the ore elevators went up and emptied tons of ore. It suddenly feels like time has stood still since the iron ore mine closed in 1968. 30 years later, in 1998, a couple of young boys started to re-explore the abandoned mine. They loved what they discovered and started to bring guests down the mine to share their treasure. The Via Ferrata Adventure tour An exciting adventure where you, together with our guides, go down via local systems and break rooms to the mine. This is the most popular tour, probably because you can imagine how it felt for the adventurous boys in 1998 when they started to explore the mine. You entrance the mine through a narrow and steep entrance where you connect to the Via Ferrata-system. After descending some levels, you feel more relaxed, either because you're entering the big shafts or because your body gets used to the environment. You'll get an adventure with a feeling of high security on the Via ferrata.
