Welcome to Ludvika

Ludvika has been shaped by centuries of mining. Copper, silver and above all iron ore have left their mark on the region. Many of its attractions are part of Ekomuseum Bergslagen, where contemporary art meets industrial history. Cassels concert hall is a cultural centrepiece.

Ludvika is also the hometown of the famous Swedish poet Dan Andersson, and in winter the ski slopes of Säfsen and the ice skating on Lake Väsman beckon visitors from near and far. At Adventuremine, one of Ludvika's most memorable experiences awaits. Enjoy a sauna ritual 80 metres underground in a former mine.

Events

Ludvika offers a wide range of events in culture, music, markets and more, that attract both visitors and locals.
