Welcome to Mora

Mora is one of Dalarna's most iconic destinations, situated on the northern shore of Lake Siljan. Here, the Dala horse is crafted by hand in Nusnäs, and the world's most famous cross-country ski race ends at the Vasaloppet finish line in the heart of town. The home, studio and museum of artist Anders Zorn tell the story of one of Sweden's most beloved painters.

In summer, the Land of Fairytales Tomteland enchants adventurous children and adults alike, and mountain bikers hurtle down the trails of Gesundaberget. In winter, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and hockey with Mora IK take centre stage.

Events

Mora offers a wide range of events in music, culture, sports and theatre, that attract both visitors and locals.
