Frostbrunnsdalen

Frostbrunnsdalen is a nature reserve consisting of a 1100 m long and 20 m deep valley on Tunaslätten. The goal with the reserve is to give Frostbrunnsdalen’s rich flora and fauna a possibility to survive, to prevent and stop overgrowing which leads to an impoverment of plant and animal life, to make some parts of Fortsbrunnsdalen accessible to people and to preserve cultural values.

In the 17th Century, a bathing facility was here, later on a soda factory with the spring water as raw material, and today it serves as the municipal water supply. Lush verdure, birds and unusual insetcs. Available in the summertime.
