Fishing in lakes dominates, but a number of running watercourses provide variety to the fishing. The latter include a stretch of the Dalälven, which in addition to pike, perch and whitefish can sometimes surprise with lake trout and rainbow trout.
The fish supply in the association's waters is mainly pike and perch. The exceptions are two freshwater lakes in Nisshyttan, Björshyttsjön and Myggtjärn. In these lakes, most rainbow trout are stocked, and trout if available for release. Fishing in the freshwater lakes requires a special fishing license. In Ljustern, the association's largest lake, trout are also stocked (if available), but here you fish with a regular sport fishing license.
