Johannisholm Adventure

Mora, Johannisholm 109

Johannisholm is located at the southern outlet of Lake Venjanssjön, Venjans parish, Mora Municipality. The place was named after the priest and entrepreneur Johan Leufqvist who started a glassworks in 1796. The glassworks was first located on Sandön because of the silica-rich sand that was there, but lacked hydroelectric power and was then moved to the location that is now called Johannisholm.
