Tunaåleden

A hiking-track close to Borlänge, that takes you through a beautiful river- and agricultural landscape between the villages Österby, Tyllsnäs, Fagersta and Färjegårdarna.

The track is 6 kilometers long and goes through agricultural landscape and the narrow roads through Fagersta and Färjegårdarna. The part of the trail that follows the river Tunaån, through ravines and pastures, is 2 kilometers. There are a number of picnic areas and information signs along the trail. Start signs are located on the east side of the road by "kaptensbostället", but it is also possible to start on the west side of the road and pass through "the cow tunnel" down by the bridge. Park your car at Gruvkarlby, Tyllsnäs, Färjegårdarna or Fagersta.
