Guided tour of the manufacturing of the Dala horse

Discover, experience, and learn about Sweden's most famous symbol! In the village of Nusnäs outside Mora, the world's most famous horse - Dalahästen - is produced. In the factory you can follow the journey from piece of wood to finished horse very closely. Welcome to a guided tour in the village of Nusnäs, where the Dala horse has been handcrafted for generations.

At Nils Olsson Dalahästar, you’ll get a unique insight into the entire production process – from raw wooden block to fully painted masterpiece. Smell the scent of freshly sawn wood and watch skilled craftsmen shape and decorate each horse by hand. In the store there is a large selection of dala horses in different sizes, colors and models and other products such as clogs. The tour is in swedish (10 AM and 1 PM) and english (11 AM and 2 PM)
