Tansvägga Nature Reserve

Mockfjärd, Tansvägga naturreservat

The precipice is an old viewpoint, especially from Predikstolen, as the highest point is known. There are climbing trails, a slogbod (three-sided log shelter) and a fireplace. In the area, there are traces of the time of charcoal-burning with hut ruins and clear remains of charcoal pitsteads from charcoal stacks.

Located 23 km south of Mockfjärd. From the intersection RV70 / E16 in Djurås, Go west towards Oslo about 10 km to Mockfjärd. Turn left at the roundabout and drive over the Västerdalälven and continue straight over the railway. At the T junction turn left towards Ersholen, keep right onto the road to Nyhammar and Go about 700 m. Turn right towards Nyhammar and Go about 16 km. Turn left at the sign Predikstolen / Tanstjärn. After 4 km turn left towards Predikstolen, after 1 km turn right and go 1 km to the turning area. Here is an information board.
