The house was built around 1750 in Göras, Enviksbyn, and was an old family farm that was later supplemented with several old buildings. There is also a forestry museum here.
In the 1920s, there were plans to demolish the house to replace it with a more modern one. Antique dealer Carl Lennerthson in Falun found the building interesting and valuable. He bought it in 1928 and relocated it to Elsborg in Falun in 1930.
