Sculptor Arvid Backlund's home with sculpture and art collections is an interesting excursion destination in Svärdsjö.
The beautifully situated cultural centre, which was donated to Falun municipality by Arvid and Ester Backlund, is located in Kyrkbyn, Svärdsjö.
The art collection, which includes portrait sculptures of famous Swedish artists, Nobel prize winners, business leaders and cultural personalities, also includes a number of works of art by Arvid Backlund's artist friends.
In addition to exhibitions in the two studio rooms, the living area is also on display, which also houses lots of art. In the summer, separate exhibitions by other artists are arranged and some evenings various cultural programs are arranged.
