Two-day whitewater rafting course with packrafts

Learn the basics of whitewater kayaking in a safe and controlled environment, with professional instructors and industry-leading equipment. The course includes two nights of accommodation, lunch, and access to a spa pool and sauna.

The price includes accommodation in hostel standard, instructors with top equipment, lunch on both days, transport and wood-fired sauna and spa. All participants must be confident swimmers. Age limit 14 years and above. Max 7 people per instructor. During this course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of whitewater kayaking, and after two days of river training, you'll be able to navigate class 2 rapids with confidence and style. If you’ve paddled touring kayaks before, this course will also help you become a better long-distance paddler. Day 1 Introduction to equipment and basic safety with the instructor River swimming (floating downstream on your back for about 30 meters) Practice capsizing the kayak and emptying it of water Basic paddling techniques High and low braces Easy traversing in flowing water (class 1) Lunch at a restaurant (included) Whitewater kayaking in a class 2 rapid Exercises for entering and exiting eddies Day 2 Whitewater paddling and a longer trip in a class 2 rapid We practice reading water in a rapid and choosing the right line Lunch at the restaurant (included in the price) Whitewater paddling in a class 2 rapid Various exercises in the rapids Practice Eskimo roll for those who want Course summary The structure of the courses may vary depending on the condition of the rapids, the participants’ level of knowledge, and plans for the return journey on day 2. The instructor will go through all of this during the introduction on day 1. Age limit 18 years and 14 years in the company of a guardian.
