Trail Description:
The second-to-last stage of the Bruksleden trail is a short and relatively easy hike. The stage begins at Lillsjön and immediately takes you into the Bredmossen Nature Reserve. Bredmossen is a well-developed raised bog covered with rocky pine forest. After a few hundred meters, you’ll reach Bredmossberget, from where you can catch glimpses of the bog through the trees. In the southern part of the reserve, Bruksleden follows a pleasant and easy forest path.
About 1 km before Tråbacken, you pass north of Bjurfors. In medieval times, there was an iron ore smelter here. It was decommissioned in 1660 and replaced with a brassworks.

An easy-to-walk stretch where you mostly follow forest paths, with a portion on gravel roads.
Public Transport:
Approximately 2 km southeast of Lillsjön, along Road 68, there is a bus stop for Bus 500. This bus can take you towards Avesta or Norberg – Fagersta – Skinnskatteberg – Köping. The bus operates on weekdays and weekends.
Bus number 500 also stops at Bjurfors, about 1 km south of Tråbacken.
Parking:
There is plenty of parking available at Lillsjön.
Facilities:
At Lillsjön, where this stage begins, there is a swimming area with large grassy fields and ample parking. Here, you will also find docks, changing cabins, toilets, tables and benches, etc.
