Guided activities all year round

Dalarna is a beautiful destination to visit all year round. With four distinct seasons, the nature and landscape changes throughout the year. From a serene, snow-covered winter to a vibrant, blossoming spring, followed by a rich, sun-kissed summer and concluding with a strikingly colourful autumn.

Winter in Dalarna

There are a variety of activities to explore during the winter. Combine a sauna with an ice bath, glide through the snow on a dog sled and follow the guide through the snowy landscape on snowshoes. Skiing is also a highly popular activity, both alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. The big resorts have a wide selection of activities for the guests to choose from.

Summer in Dalarna

During the summer and all the way to autumn the nature offers a wide range of activities. Go hiking or biking on your own or with a guide. Read more about Biking Dalarna which offers quality assured mtb trails. Stop for a nice outdoor cooking experience or a Swedish “fika” with coffee and cinnamon buns. The many lakes and rivers offer a terrific opportunity to go canoeing, kayaking and river rafting. Summer is also the season of many events, midsummer being the most famous of them all.
