Welcome to Säter

Säter is one of Sweden’s best preserved wooden towns. Stroll along the narrow streets and pop into the charming little shops. Just outside the centre is Säterdalen, a five-kilometre ravine system with unique nature, playgrounds, events and beautiful hiking trails. Experience culture and history at the museums of mental health care and TV and cinema.

The Silverringen cultural trail takes you through the mining history of Silvberg and Säter. Just outside Säter in Stora Skedvi, you'll find the food destination Skedvi Bröd – a market hall, restaurant and crispbread bakery all under one roof.

Events

Säter offers a wide range of events in music, theatre, culture, food and classic car meets. And don't miss the popular Christmas market.
