Nordic Wilderness Experience - Dog Sledding, Sörsjön

Since 1997, Nordic Wilderness Experience from a farm in the village of Sörsjön between Sälen and Särna, has offered dog sledding day tours to families with young children and adventurers. For those who want to experience longer excursions, a multi-day tour is recommended, where you venture into Fulufjället National Park and Drevfjället to experience a magnificent winter landscape.

Day Trips - all tours include a guide. Depending on age and fitness level, you have the option to drive a dog sled and sit in the sled or just partake in one of these activities. Two adults share a sled, or an adult + a child in a sled, or an adult + adult + a small child in a sled. If there is an uneven number, one person either rides in the guide's sled or drives their own dog sled. For half-day or full-day tours, stops are made approximately halfway through the trail for a snack or barbecue. These tours are recommended for both adults and children depending on the temperature; some in the group are expected to drive the sled, with driver changes occurring during the tour. Children do not drive the sled but only sit in it. If you have any disabilities, please contact the organizer to see if such a tour is suitable. Not recommended for small children if it is very cold. Day Trips - 2-hour tour - Half-day tour (3-4 hours), including snacks such as coffee/tea/chocolate with cake and buns.
