Skating at Burtjärn och Väsman

Burtjärn is a small lake just outside Ludvika. Väsman is a large lake with proximity to both city, countryside and untouched nature. In the southern part of the lake is the Ludvika marina, one of several starting points for the skating track. The tracks are plowed by the Väsman VinterArena association.

Burtjärn is located 5 km outside Ludvika towards Brunnsvik. The reason the association is plowing a circular track on this pond is that the ice settles early in the season and therefore you can quickly start skating.
