Älvpromenaden (The River Walk) is 8.5 kilometers long and trails along the river banks on both sides of Dalälven from Avesta to Krylbo.

Difficulty: Easy. The trail leads over paths, footbridges, asphalt and gravel roads. There may be roots and the terrain varies according to the season.
Starting point: Start at Verket in Koppardalen. There is parking and a café. In central Avesta, just a stone's throw from the plant, there are accommodation and restaurants.
Trail marking: Along the walk there are signs and markings in green and red that show where the trail goes.
