Alderängsrundan 7 - 9 km

An inspiring hike in a nature reserve with a coffee stop at the scenically located shelter cabin by the river's edge where you can enjoy the rippling sound of the river. Peaceful!

The tour starts above the slope down towards Österdalälven and then through the reserve to get down to the shore. The tour then follows the river's edge to make some detours into the forest. Length: 7 - 9 km. Height difference: 165 meters Trail marking: Blue 8.5 km, red if you want to shorten the trip to about 7.5 km, which you can do after about 2.5 km on the blue loop. Time consumption: About 3 - 4 hours Difficulty level: Easy hiking on paths and forest roads with some hills. Environment: The part of the tour that goes within the reserve has a changing character with open mowing fields, primeval forests and pebble beaches. The loop with a bluish-red marking, called Älvslingan - at 2 km there is now the possibility to walk along the river. Awesome if there's a lot of rushing water in the river. Within the reserve there is a chance to see beavers, otters and lynxes as well as a lot of different nesting birds and protected plants. Facilities: Outdoor toilet at the start of the trail.
