Unique Dala-paintings (from 1799-1801) on the walls by Winter Carl Hansson.
During his short life, Winter Carl Hansson (1777–1805) was able to consolidate his position as the most important representative of Dalecarlian painting. In Danielsgården's summer house, this farmer painter from the village of Yttermo in Leksand's parish painted two decorative paintings, which have been almost completely preserved to this day.
The painting "Ålderstrappan" (The age stairs) in the kitchen of the summer house and the kurbits in the room are masterpieces of Swedish folk art. During the second half of the 1800s, these paintings were covered with wallpaper, which certainly saved the paintings from destruction.
In 1889, the artist Carl Larsson visited Bingsjö and Daniels Mats for the first time at Danielsgården. Carl Larsson would return there repeatedly and often for a long time. He was well acquainted with the family and has depicted the environment and the people there in many paintings.
