The Dalarna Culture Route awaits

Join us on the Dalarna Culture Tour, a round trip on which you’ll visit places that have played an important part in Sweden’s history. The culture passport allows you to discover the very best cultural experiences than Dalarna has to offer.

Travelling is a wonderful way to discover new experiences and the Dalarna Culture Route is a truly special and unique journey. Just remember to pack your passport - your culture passport, that is - before you head off to visit the various historical and cultural destinations.

Take a round trip through the cultural landscape of Dalarna. Discover fascinating chapters of Sweden’s history, experience authentic cultural sites and listen to tales of the people who left their mark on this region. Peek into artists’ homes, world heritage sites, industrial heritage sites and gardens and immerse yourself in Dalarna’s colourful cultural story.

Your pass includes a special offer for every stop on the route. When you’ve used your offer, you’ll get a stamp in your passport. And when you’ve visited all the destinations you’ll be presented with a special Culture Route Dala horse to keep.

Six of the destinations are open in the winter: the Zorn Museum, Carl Larsson-gården, Falu Mine, the Porphyry Museum, Dalarnas Museum and Nils Olssons Dalahorses. In the summer months, Hildasholm, Ornässtugan and Avesta Art are also open.

Cultural Passport - Visit 9 unique cultural experiences in Dalarna

Take a part in the Culture Trip Dalarna, a round route to places which reveal exciting parts of Sweden's history. Collect stamps in the Cultural Passport and take advantage of advantageous offers. Visit nine cultural-historical destinations in Dalarna; Avesta Art, Zornmuseet, Carl Larsson gården, Falu Gruva, Hildasholm, Ornässtugan, Porfyrmuseet, Dalarnas museum and Nils Olsson Dalahästar.

You can buy the cultural Passport at each destination and in the pass there is an offer for each stop. Your pass includes a special offer for every stop on the route. When you’ve used your offer, you’ll get a stamp in your passport. And when you’ve visited all the destinations you’ll be presented with a special Culture Route Dala horse to keep. Each offer in the passport is valid for one person at a time with the start date for the day when the passport is obtained. The passport is valid for two years from the date of purchase.
