Welcome to Vansbro

In Vansbro two rivers meet – the Vanån and the Västerdalälven – and water is a big part of this municipality. The Vansbrosimningen is Sweden's largest open-water swimming event, attracting around 14,000 participants and turning Vansbro into a big summer celebration every year.

Along the disused Inlandsbanan railway, you can cycle a rail trolley through beautiful nature, an experience the whole family will enjoy. Snöå Bruk offers manor house accommodation, hiking and skiing in historic surroundings. Enjoy Swedish "fika" at Ryggåsstugan café and Vansbro Konditori, both praised in the White Guide.
