Biking Dalarna consists of 19 cycling areas with a wide variety of marked trails for cross country and downhill biking. All areas share common trail markings, trail grading, and guaranteed excellent support services.

All trails are well-marked in the terrain, allowing you to simply relax and have fun.

Easy to choose the right trail
All trails are graded according to a common matrix. A blue trail in Sälen is approximately as easy to cycle as a blue trail in Säfsen.

Easy to get started
Good support services are an essential part of the cycling experience. At all destinations, there is the possibility to rent a bike, eat and stay, as well as wash up (both yourself and the bike) after the ride.

All trails within Biking Dalarna are classified according to the same standard, where green is the easiest and black is the most challenging. Start with a trail that you feel confident with.

Cross country
 

Grön Ikon för lättcyklad led. Green: Easy trail on gravel roads or wide paths.

Blå ikon för ganska lättcyklad led. Blue: Like green but with significant sections of easy-to-ride paths.

Röd ikon för medelsvår led. Red: Similar to blue but with significant technical sections and larger inclines.

Svart led, stora inslag av hopp, drops och mycket branta partier.Black: Significant presence of highly technical sections, jumps, steep inclines, roots, and rocks.

Downhill
 

Grön Ikon för lättcyklad led. Green: Easy trail without difficult obstacles, gentle slope.

Blå led, som grön led men med enklare hopp och kurvor. Blue: Like green but with elements of easier jumps and controlled curves.

Röd led, som blå men med stora inslag av hopp och andra hinder. Red: Similar to blue but with significant elements of jumps and other obstacles.

Svart led, stora inslag av hopp, drops och mycket branta partier.Black: Significant presence of high jumps, drops, rock gardens, and very steep sections.
