The miners and the foundry workers had their own districts, Elsborg, Gamla Herrgården and Östanfors. Many smeltery workers lived in this part of the town, Östanfors, but even the homesteaders established homes in the Östanfors district. Östanfors also has close links with Carl Larsson. Streets of particular interest are Björngränd, Kvarngatan and Blindgatan.
