Mining Center Mojsen - Grängesberg Mining Area

Mojsen is located in a genuine industrial historic environment, right in the middle of the former mining area of Grängesberg mines. It is the miners' former staff canteen that has been converted into a museum.

Mojsen was the miners' dining hall and is located in the heart of the mining area, where several buildings from the old mine still remain. Today, Mojsen houses a mining museum with an exhibition space and is set to become a visitor center for the entire area. Grängesberg Mining Area is part of the Ecomuseum Bergslagen. One Ticket, Four Destinations There is plenty to do in Grängesberg. Now, you can access four exciting destinations with just one ticket, and new for the year 2025, a guided Cultural Walk with visits to all the destinations. You’ll learn more about the mine and the development of the industrial community. After the walk, you can stay and explore the attractions or return to Disponentparken for coffee or lunch. The Cultural Walk is guided, covers about 2 km, and takes approximately 1 hour. The guided tours run from June 23 to August 15, Monday through Friday at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. The booklet "We Built Grängesberg: A Walk in the Miners' Footsteps" is included in the ticket. Destinations: - The Locomotive Museum - Cassels - Mining Center Mojsen - The Motor and Nostalgia Museum The joint admission ticket costs 200 SEK for adults, 80 SEK for children/youth aged 6–15, and is free for children under 5 years old.
