Romboleden, Ludvika - Grangärde 21 km

Between Grangärde's old church village with mining homesteads and the streets of Ludvika, you walk along lakes and through the forest. For a long stretch, you follow the old railway embankment, which is now an easy-to-walk bike path. Other parts of the stage take you along trails and roads in the forest.

Stage 8 Ludvika - Grangärde Starting Point Ludvika Ulrika Church Ending Point Grangärde Church Length 21 km Difficulty Level: Blue, medium Duration: 7 hours Trail Description The trail follows roads and forest paths. Environment/Surface: Partly hilly and steep terrain, especially north of Norrvik. Some gravel and asphalt roads as well as uneven forest paths. Parking: Parking is available at the churches. Facilities: Toilets and drinking water are available at the churches. Public Transportation: The nearest bus stop for the starting point is Karlberg or Ludvika Station, a 4 or 10-minute walk from the church. The nearest bus stop for the endpoint is Grangärde Square, a 3-minute walk from the church. Check Dalatrafik's website for timetables.
