Here you are invited to a suitably long hiking tour around Slättvåla, next door to Idre Fjäll. The path winds its way through fairytale-like, untouched, mountain-close forest.
Start and finish place: Slättvåla, directly beyond the Söderhöjden cabin area on Idre Fjäll at shelter from the wind. You can also start the hike at the square, Idre Fjäll and walk away through the cottage villages.
Length: 5.3 km, circular loop.
Altitude meters:120 meters.

Difficulty: An easy hiking tour with narrow paths in parts and some decent climbs.
Environment: Experiencing the forest close to the mountains with its unique character creates a sense of calm. See the lichen hanging from late-grown pines and take in all the colors of the forest. The surface varies between narrow and wide paths and shorter sections on dirt roads.
Facilities and packing requirements: In Idre Fjäll's square that you pass on your way to the start, there are toilets, a grocery store, a sports store and other facilities. Parking along the road adjacent to the starting point. Electric car chargers are located below the square. There are wind shelters at the start/finish of the hike and approximately halfway. Bring a packed lunch! After the hike, you can take part in Idre Fjäll's range with everything from an outdoor activity area with a pool and showers, restaurants and cozy overnight accommodation.
Public transport: Visit Dalatrafiken for bus connections to Idre Fjäll. From the stop at Idre Fjälls Torg, it is about 1.5 km to the start of the hike.
