Partial Stretch Stage 27A Tråbacken - Krylbo

Trail Description:
Stage 27A is a slightly hilly but still easy-to-walk stretch where you mostly walk along trails but also a short section on asphalt and gravel roads. In the beginning of the trail, after about 600 meters, you can make a detour and experience European bison up close. After another approximately 1 km, you’ll reach the Dalälven River and Gamla Byn. Gamla Byn consists of former worker's homes dating back to the 1600s. Here, you continue your walk on the so-called River Walk with beautiful nature along the Dalälven, leading to the final destination at Avesta Krylbo station. Don’t miss visiting the world’s largest Dala horse, located just a stone's throw from the hiking trail.

Parking: There is ample parking available at both Tråbacken and Krylbo.
Public Transportation:
About 1 km south of Tråbacken is the Bjurfors bus stop for bus 500. This bus can take you toward Avesta–Krylbo or Norberg–Fagersta–Skinnskatteberg–Köping.
At Krylbo, you have direct connections to both train and bus services at Avesta/Krylbo station.
Facilities:
You’ll find several spots along the way to Krylbo. In Gamla Byn, there are large green areas perfect for picnics, and along the Dalälven River Walk, there are resting areas with grilling facilities. Near the world’s largest Dala horse, there is also a picnic/rest area.
