Dalarna has a rich mountain history with exciting mines and foundries that tell the story of life and work in the past. The most famous is Falun Mine, one of Sweden's foremost World Heritage Sites and the place where copper once coloured the world red. But there are also several other interesting mining environments and foundries that offer both drama, cultural history and scenic surroundings.
