Romboleden

A walk through time and thought

The Rombo Trail is 85 km and thus Sweden's longest pilgrim route, dating back to the 11th century. It starts in Köping and ends in Trondheim, Norway, but many choose to walk only one or more stages at a time. It is a walk for both body and soul – a chance to slow down and reflect on the path of life.

The name Romboleden comes from Rombo- or Rumboland, which was the Dalecarlians' old name for the plains by Lake Mälaren. This trail connects to the other roads closer to Trondheim. Stages 5-22 go through Dalarna.
