Husky Hiking

Experience the primordial power of a sled dog by hitchhiking with a Siberian husky up the mountain on paths and roads. Paired with an expanding tow line, you and the dog become a close-knit team and together you reach the top with joint forces.

A hike in beautiful nature that requires that little extra but gives so much more. The activity is aimed at adults and slightly older children. If you are unsure of the age of the children, contact Måsek's. You are welcomed at Måsek's kennel by Annika and Pär who have a long elite career in the sled dog sport. You get to meet all the dogs, maybe you have seen your favorite dog already through www.maseks.se. If possible, you can choose your dog for the day. Then equipment in the form of waist belts and gloves is tested and the selected dogs are loaded into the transport. You go together down to the foot of the mountain where the hike starts where you are connected with, your chosen Husky for the day. Then the hike starts uphill and you will get good help from the strong competition dogs. On the way you will experience a fantastic nature that ends at the top with beautiful views. Back at the kennel, you take care of your dog and give it food and fluids to recover and cuddle as much as you want. The activity ends with a campfire with fantastic panoramic views, coffee and conversation about the experience together with the dogs. Prior knowledge: Good basic physique, you need to be able to hike a few km sometimes in slightly rugged terrain. Equipment: We equip you with a waist belt and gloves. Good to know: You need to have good shoes that fit properly on the foot. In case of bad weather, you need to bring your own rain gear To get to Måsek's you need to have your own car. There is a good parking area and toilets can be borrowed at the kennel. The activity can be booked in spring, autumn and on summer evenings when the temperature is cooler.
