The mighty river, Dalälven, dominates the fishing waters of southern Dalarna. The river and the lakes through which it runs offer some of the best pike-fishing waters in Sweden. Älvdalen (E6) is famous for its excellent grayling fishing, but it’s also great for trout fishing. Fly fishing is the main type of fishing in the beautiful Österdalälven river which is generally very easily wadeable.
