Mora – Nusnäs trip

For people wondering how the famous Dala horse (carved, painted model horse) is made, this is the trip for you. This trip also has great bathing spots. The start is on the finish line of the legendary Vasaloppet ski race in the centre of Mora and if you want to know more about the race you can visit Vasaloppets Hus which houses the Vasaloppsmuseet. If you fancy a dip you can do it at Sanda Båthamn harbour, Färnäs Badplats and at Nusnäs. Nusnäs is the ancestral home of the Dala horse and here you can watch them being made, or paint your own and even buy one.
