Knife, Fire & Swedish Fika - Family Edition
Learn the craft of using a knife, make fire and Swedish fika over the fire in Älvdalen, Dalarna. Join the experienced guides from Ut & Njut Adventure in the beautiful Elfdalian woods in the Swedish countryside of Dalarna where the use of knives, wood and fire always has been part of life.
Learn the basics of how to use a knife and make a fire starting, using material out of wood from the forest. Try making your own fire with matches or fire steel. When the small fires have turned into one you will make Swedish Fika - coffee, tea, hot chocolate and sweet snacks over the open fire. When the fika is ready - enjoy around the fire together!
The activity's location is in Skärklitts fäbod, a beautiful little village higher up in the woods 4 kms from Älvdalen centre where the locals used to move their animals during the summertime to let them walk and eat freely in the woods. Ut & Njut Adventure are a small Swedish guide company and the guides started their love for the outdoors as scouts and with scouting comes the love of knives, making fires and fika.
