Cycling holiday around Siljan, 3 days, start Mora

Experience the summer in Siljan from the bike! Visit Rättvik with its famous bridge, Långbryggan, Tällberg known for all wooden buildings and Leksand beautifully situated on Siljan's beach. Finally, you arrive to Mora known for Vasaloppet and the artist Zorn.

Package description (start Monday):

Day 1 Mora - Rättvik
(Bike distance 50km)
The package starts in Mora, where you get your bikes. You pass the village Nusnäs where the Dala horses are manufactured. The bike ride goes along Siljan Lake. When you come to Rättvik, you have to take a walk on the famous bridge, Långbryggan, that extends a total of 625 meters into Siljan Lake. You check in at Hotell Lerdalshöjden with its fantastic view over Lake Siljan. You will be served a 2-course dinner and a nice bed is waiting for you. Hotell Lerdalshöjden is known for its good food.


Day 2 Rättvik - Tällberg - Leksand
(Bike distance 25 km)
After breakfast, the bike tour continues towards new experiences. Your second day is off to Leksand. Before you arrive, the bike tour goes through Tällberg village, which is wonderfully beautiful overlooking Siljan Lake. Here are all houses and buildings built of wood and most are log houses. Once in Leksand you check in at Korstäppan Herrgård. Here you will be invited to a 4-course menu in the beautiful manor environment.


Day 3 Leksand - Mora
(Bike distance 70 km)
Today, the goal is to cycle to Mora. There will be varied cycling along the Siljan Lake, along hilly roads. You will cycle through the village of Västanvik and here lies Leksand's Träslöjd, a picturesque two-man craft factory where the wind wing "Gubben & Gumman" is manufactured. Here you will also find Jobs Boden & Jobs Handtryck with the classic Job Pieces. When you come to Siljansnäs with Björkberget you have a fantastic view of Byrviken. Here you find Dalarnas Naturrum which is a nature museum that shows Dalarna's geology, flora and fauna with over 100 stuffed animals. Predator center with exhibition of the four large predators: Wolf, Bear, Lynx and Wolverine. After a long bike race today, it will be nice to arrive at Mora Hotell & Spa. Make a visit to their Spa facility before settling in their dining room and get a 2-course dinner.

The price also includes free access to the relaxation area with steam / dry sauna, swimming pool and jacuzzi after the spa salon closing. If you want to go down to the relaxation area during the spa salon's opening hours, it costs 125 SEK / person and then includes loan of bathrobe and slippers. If you wish to book spa treatment, this should be done before arrival, when buying spa treatment includes loan of bathrobe and slippers and entrance to the relaxation area.


Day 4 Mora
After breakfast it can be nice to walk around in Mora and enjoy life. We recommend you to make a visit to the Zorn Museum and the home of Zorn in Mora, which is one of Sweden's most popular art museums. Here is always a selection of Zorn's watercolors, oil paintings, sculptures and etchings. Visit Vasaloppet House with a film show and exhibition about Vasaloppet's history. Walk in the cozy alleys of the district of Lisselby, visit Mora Church and why not take a bath in Siljan Lake.

Not later than 30 days before departure when booking is finally paid for, vouchers are sent to you by e-mail. The voucher is a value document and must be printed and brought on the journey. Valid as payment for hotel room, activity or similar depending on what you have booked.
