The trail largely follows the Vasaloppet's route all the way to Mora, the trail varies between small forest paths, lovely forest roads, open moorlands, cozy dirt roads. Following the road, you pass all of Vasalopp's well-known Vasa villages and summer chalets (fäbod in Swedish).
Start and finish place: The trail starts at the starting place for the Vasaloppet ski race in Berga by, Sälen and you cross the finish line under the Vasaloppet motto "In the footsteps of our fathers for future victories" on Vasagatan in Mora.
Length: 90 km
Trail marking: Symbol for hiking with text "Vasaloppsarenan Vasaloppsleden"
Difficulty: Easily accessible terrain. Varying surfaces, mostly paths, dirt roads and forest roads. 4 kilometers of spans laid out over bogs and wetlands.
Environment: Forest paths, forest roads, bogs with sedges, dirt roads. You pass 7 Vasalopp checkpoints after the trail where you can fill up with water (summer time).
Facilities: There are 9 overnight cabins along the trail, they are not bookable so it is good to bring a tent. 11 huts, 13 table and bench groups for rest and 17 outdoor toilets in connection with cabins and huts. Water is available at every Vasalopp control (summer time).
