Per-Hilding was one of the few artists who managed to support himself and his family with his art. Although his works were widely distributed over the years, many paintings remain in the Perjonsstiftelsen. Paintings that Per-Hilding, during his last period of life, himself helped to select.
Thanks to the foundation, Per-Hilding's spirit lives on to the highest degree at Perjonsgården in Dala-Floda. The walls of the courtyard, both indoors and outdoors, are covered with paintings that convey many feelings and thoughts.
One of the things that perhaps most characterizes Per-Hilding's work is the incredible versatility that characterizes the artworks. From very realistic nature and human portraits, to paintings that convey deep emotions, while leaving much to the viewer's own thoughts.
