Sandviken Big Band offers classic big band gems. SBB is one of the country's foremost and most famous big bands that has visited the jazz club on several occasions over the years, (most recently in the autumn of 2022) always as popular and crowd-drawing performances. This time, the concert program includes music from the 1930s to the present. Among the pioneers of big band music is Duke Ellington, who started as early as the 1920s, then came bandleaders such as Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and somewhat later names such as Woody Herman, Buddy Rich and Thad Jones.
