The church storehouse in Älvdalen
Sweden's 3rd oldest log building.
Description
Tenth granary on Prästgårdstunet south of the church is dated to the year 1285 through the so-called dendrochronological method. Around the door parts, you can see ornaments from the early Middle Ages and the timber walls are also some dalrunes inscribed. The building was collected and stored the tenth of the farmer's annual harvest which was the priest's wages.
